on this glorious day we praise those men
whose lives have lost for freedoms cost
giving all that we may live
under god's grand authority with abiding peace
wounds they bear, medals they wear
a deeper look will show true intent
and why a man is so willing to leave his family
for desolate war to fight on wild frontier
for our countries freedom
to allow it to last evermore
